Privacy & data handling

ProfitStar is a private beta. This page describes the implemented technical safeguards; a complete privacy policy and merchant agreement must be approved before public launch.

Independent workspace

ProfitStar uses a dedicated database. Merchant access is restricted by organization membership and role. Accounts and credentials from other applications are not shared.

Data used for reporting

The reporting schema stores product identifiers, financial order data, country-level performance, costs, advertising spend and saved scenarios. Customer names, postal addresses and customer email addresses are not required for financial reporting. Account emails are managed by Supabase Auth.

Integrations and retention

The private beta supports owner-authorized Shopify reporting and a Meta Ads connection. Meta access tokens are encrypted and isolated by store. Disconnecting Meta removes its stored tokens and stops synchronization; historical advertising reports remain available. Public launch requires verification of provider approvals, privacy webhooks, a retention schedule and the customer request process.

Limitations

Attribution estimates are labelled. Profit depends on complete costs and advertising coverage. ProfitStar does not automatically modify campaigns, products or prices.

Requests

During the private beta, contact the administrator who invited you for access, export or deletion requests. A public privacy contact and retention schedule must be established before launch.
